Successful learners will be aware of the legal liability issues related to their work environment in relation to health, safety and environmental aspects.
Who is the training programme for?
This training programme is designed for both novice and experienced learners who need to be aware of the legal liability associated with their work environment, related to Health, Safety and Environment Incidents while performing their daily duties.
A Manager/Team Leader/ Foreman with Legal Liability will be able to:
- Explain why Safety, Health and Environmental aspects are an important issue in the workplace
- Identify who is ultimately responsible for the Health and Safety of employees, contractors and visitors
- Explain what is meant by Health and Safety in the work area
- Explain the different terms related to Health and Safety
- List the different causes of accidents or incidents
- List the principles of safety
HIRA
Conduct continuous hazard identification and risk assessment within a workplace.
Who is the training programme for?
This training programme is designed for both novice and experienced learners who may be expected to conduct continuous hazard identification & risk assessment within a workplace while performing their daily duties.
A Manager/Team Leader/ Foreman with HIRA will be able to:
- Explain the specified requirements pertaining to continuous hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Prepare for hazard identification.
- Identify hazards and assess risks.
- Initiate remedial and follow-up action
INCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Who is the training programme for?
This training programme is designed for both novice and experienced learners who may be expected to Conduct Investigations into Workplace Health, Safety and Environment Incidents while performing their daily duties.
A Manager/Team Leader/ Foreman with Incident Investigation will be able to:
- Describe requirements pertaining to conducting preliminary investigations into health, safety and environment incidents
- Select approaches to investigations appropriate for specified contexts
- Gather data for preliminary investigations that is accurate
- Record and report data accurately and as specified
